Questions before purchase

I have successfully got hobdrive demo to run on my wince Chinese unit but I had a few questions regarding the software before I purchase a copy. (Is there any reason to purchase EOL?)

I basically just want to display Throttle, RPM, Speed, Coolant Temp and the time in a nice display with gauges. Is there a way to do this? Preferably any other calculations that run in the background to be disabled as my unit slows down a bit with it running.

Also, after closing hobd it successfully puts me back into the main "menu" of my device but if I open any other applications the screen just gets stuck on a black screen... audio keeps playing but it requires a restart to function again. Any ideas?

Hello. Sorry for delayed response, we are on NY holidays in Russia.

First, even we declared WinCE is end of life, we are eager to provide bug fixes and updates.
Next, having winCE purchased, you'll get future platform upgrades with 40% discount. Notice the current sale is also active and gives 50% global discount.
And, finally, there is practically no alternatives on wince nowadays.

For gauges features, please carefully estimate what the latest wince beta (1.3.2) provides in terms of visual display. There are some limitations in there (comparing with other platforms).

Background calculations could be disabled clicking "actions" - "fast scan mode".

For the last your issue - have you used version 1.3.2 when seeing this? If no, please try updating.

Hello! Hope you had a great holiday.

I have tried 1.1.1 and 1.4 not sure where to get 1.3.2, but both of these cause the strange issue. Maybe a video would help? I will probably end up buying it just to support you but I would love this issue to be solved (restarting the unit every time i close the app is annoying )

This is most probably is an issue with hobd 1.1 not destroying its process after exit.

Please try this build:

Also on you screen I see some issues with configuration. Probably you lost some of hobdrive's config files.

Does the same thing, if I open it from the windows ce explorer (hidden menu) it will open and close fine, but If I open it using the menu system it just freezes like that. The GPS program I put on there does not do this so I am not quite sure what to do. Any other suggestions?
