Validation Problem

I have been using Hobdrive for about two years without any real problems.
It is installed on and Android Head unit in my Jeep Wrangler.
Previously from time to time it asks me to "validate" and this is not a problem when I am able to get my android device to access the internet. Some times I am in an area with no internet and this can be a problem.

Now it is asking me to validate but when I try it says it cannot access the internet. I can see that my device is connected to the internet and I can access google play and and my web browser just fine.

How can I fix this?
