Hi All!

I've settled up a translation service for the hobdrive app:

Anybody can use it to improve and extend translation of hobdrive to other languages.


Starting with beta version 1.1.51 you can download your language package from "Project hobdrive" -> "review" -> "zip file" and just replace existing files in "lang" subfolder.

For android version, you can replace same files on /sdcard/hobd/lang (or hobdrive/lang),
the screens will receive new translations, but the translation of settings dialogs will be missing until new version update.


Notice, that we give a good discount to active translators. You may also contact us to receive a license at no cost in exchange for a full translation to some (your) language.

can you check speed of loading webpage and subpages: translate.hobdrive.com ?

Loading time is too long: 50-80s

Just improved this, now should be fine.
Please notice you have to translate "hobDrive" project.
"Terminology" is a sample word reference project, it is useful, but not required for translations.

PS. Later I'll give instructions how to download translation pack and install it into hobdrive for validation/usage.

You have som serious errors in translation functions:

For example:
sdesc.FuelEconomy_instant is in english: Short term fuel economy
It should be: INSTANT not short

Such errors I have seen several.
It would be a good idea to check the source, which then are based on translations to other languages, that are not translated wrong texts.

maxman, thanks alot, these think just a typo in source english translation.
If you'll notice any other, let me know and I'll update original english source.

I've fixed these typos (and some others), now all should be consistent (I hope).

Im doing the portuguese brazil translation and I have a question: the term "fuel economy sensors" is the same as (or something like) "fuel consumption sensor"?

fuel consumption and economy are similar, but "fuel economy" is normally a normalized value ( l / 100km, or miles per gallon), "fuel consumption" is more general - it could be f.e. "fuel consumption in liters per trip, or per day".

Slovak translation is complete.
They may be some errors, but fix it after some tests.

maxman, I've seen the progress - it was quite fast, thanks alot! I'll integrate this into next update for sure!

Cail, i´m trying to finish the Brazilian portuguese translation but all the "core.properties" section changed to russian. Do you know what happened?

Hi, yes, that was a glitch in a system.

I'll fix it soon and rollback to the latest valid translation.
