Setting and calibration on Seat Ibiza

Hi,

i have Seat Ibiza 1,4 gasoline and using HobDrive. All is working, but i have som questions:
1. OBD reads on idle: 1-1,1l/hour - i calibrate it through VE and now shows 0,7l/hour and set ENGINE DISPLACEMENT to 1,4 - it is OK?
2. My car odometer shows 1759 km but hobdrive shows 1747 km. It is possible to calibrate this? I have 1 fuelling set in hobdrive with setting odometer.

1. Think thats normal, but you have to compare hobdrive's average fuel economy with real economy from fueling records and tune up the calibration if needed.

2. That could be normal because hobdrive calculates odometer on its own, and if for some trips you forgot to start hobdrive - it just loose these trips. Entering fueling records is the only way to track odometer, so you'll basically catch it up with real value on each fueling.

i need to calibrate my fuel consumption. I had now VE=74. I Filled up 32,6l gasoline - full tank, but hobdrive shows only 15,5l consumed. How can i calibrate this? It is some formula for this?

I found on russian forum hobdrive (sorry - google translate):

For example hobdrayv shows that 40 liters consumed per trip, although in reality spent 32 liters. Old value VE = 95, the new value VE = 95 * 32/40 = 76.

If i use my values, then:
VE=74*32,6/15,5=155,64

Can it be that high?

maxman, no, it can't be that high.

You probably got some trips without hobdrive (eventually loosing fuel spent information).
Because of this its better to measure not absolute fuel consumed value on tank, but a FE/MPG (using distance on tank). And compare that value with what hobdrive shows.

F.e. you've spent 32l in 400km - thats a 32/400*100 = 8l/100km.
hobdrive shows you 6l/100km. Thus correction coefficient should be 8/6=1.333
